Pride 6: Weather The Storm

JlVE_TURKEY(Rampage Jackson) defeats Rob_lowrider(Anderson Silva) by decision close fight we were evenly matched

I was trying to make it a clean sweep in PRIDE tonight, but the last fight with Nosmos we tried three times and it got DC'd within the first 2 minutes all three times. It sucks too, because Aldo vs Cerrone was a very sick match up to fight him with. Looking forward to trying again tomorrow.

TruSolja (Marquardt) defeats LORD HIGH MMA (Davis) via TKO with 2:41 in the 2nd.
- Back and forth battle, he had me rocked in the first half of the first round and I was sweating it. This match had it all, ground, standup, and clinching. He was using his reach well, so I tried to keep him honest with takedowns and close the distance with step attacks, especially knees and push kicks. I got two really lucky rocks with a head kick counter and a superman punch right when he dropped his gloves to take his own shot. GF man.

TruSolja (Overeem) defeats MRRUFC (Rothwell) via KO with 6:21 in the 1st.
- This matchup was tough because Rothwell throws bombs, but doesn't have a lot of mobility, kicks, or ground game. I used distance to stay away from his hooks, but he still knocked me on my ass a time or two. I used a lot of headkicks when I could and threw in body kicks and body punches mixed in with heavy hooks. This one was a banger that saw some ground game but mainly it was a HW brawl.

TruSolja (Johnson) defeats TwinCityBadGuy (Condit) via KO with 6:34 in the 1st (headkick).
- I was nervous about this, because Condit can attack from every angle possible. I knew I had two advantages, and I luckily chose to use them well. First, Johnson's reach was key, as I kept out of his range and when he came toward me, I gave him a jab or two. This disrupted his attacks and I could get some combos against him. If he missed an attack and tried to make him eat knees or headkicks. And if he came too close I tried to use the other advantage, Johnson's wrestling. Luckily, the takedown I secured near the end took me to side control and I avoided any sub attempts he might have planned. Then at the end he missed a headkick and I responded with my own to become the first PRIDE Welterweight Champion, Anthony Johnson.

I went ahead and forfeited my fight with freper, I already gave up Belcher as a fighter so the fight really ment nothing so no biggy.

you forfeited after you couldn't escape my gnp.he quit in the middle of me gnp him and said i can have the fight cause he hates the ground game.wtf this is mma not boxing or ces.what you gonna do forfeit all your fights when you stuck on the ground,learn your ground ill teach you if you want.

You were lay and praying, no gnp invovled. It was boring and since the fight ment nothing there was no reason to stay. I signed up for this league because I was tired of all the Lay n Prayers in ranked matches.

Im leaving this league, if you let Lay N prayers in I dont want any part of it.


Besides I broke my controller from being so frustrated with this dumb game, so I wont be play anymore any time soon.

Because Middleweight includes both the LHW and MW divisions and I wasn't sure which you were using so since Hamill is your LHW Fighter I has used his name, but now on I'll use Munoz.

Cool, you quit the K1 league because you lost a few fights, so if you lose you quit so bye, It was nice having you. Sounds like you need to control the rage.

It just seems you don't know how to lose,good you saved us the time cause quitters get terminated on the spot, they make the league look bad.

Sad to see people quit due to not understanding game mechanics. I often hear complaints about the ground game because most of my fighters are Wrestlers with vicious GnP. I enjoy the ground game more but I'm probably biased because wrestling and BJJ, which I've done off an on my whole life, are both ground combat. I've never taken a boxing or kickboxing class, so I've never learned proper technique or timing, not that real life experiences translates into the game but I am definitely biased toward the ground so I use it more, therefore I understand it more. Against some matchups, I am dead in the water on my feet. I hope you reconsider and stick around, we can teach you how to have a good ground game over time, but if you want to quit for the ground game, then you might as well just stick to CES and Stand Up leagues throughout the net. Just know that you are not having an MMA match, but a kickboxing match only. You are cutting off over 50% of the game if you do that.

That being said, we have 2 fights in WWCF which I will try to find replacements for.

why would you want this garbage to reconsider and stay,its been documented that he's a quitter.i fight in another league he use to fight in and he quit on a guy also then left the league.a few days ago i ran into him on rank and we traded and as soon as i got him on the ground and started pounding him he quit and said i can have the fight cause he doesnt feel like being on the ground the whole fight,that he has things to do.what a joke.let the dude leave he's a disgrace to any league,geez i wouldn't want to fight in the same league as this dude if he is a quitter.

I have removed him from my rosters, and I am trying to replace him on his current WWCF fights. I don't want to lose any more players as the cards are getting thin. I would rather them have one fighter each and get the fight done every week then have 5 and not get any of them done. But don't worry, I removed him from my side of things and Wise will remove him from the sign up sheets as well. If he comes back he'll have to pick new fighters and we will card him on the spot. Arguments happen in a game with such aggressive competition, but I don't want to lose any more players than we already have. We lost like 5 people the last week and a half and gained 0.

yea i hear you but we didnt just lose fighters,we lost 5 garbage fighters,this league will make it as long as the fight cards keep rolling in,im already home was just taking care some things.fixing to jump on and start recruiting just hope others do the same if not,well dont know then.

True, if I had to pick 5 people to remove from the league, that would be a good five to leave behind.

Great fight

Was a great fight. I made a mistake in the first that tool me to about 60 head and 45 body damage (1 rock) early from mount and side control. The last 10 minutes of the fight I tried to counter him and get my own rock in the second. I got a rock but he got me back in the end with a final one and the bell rang with me trying to stand up from rocked. He easily had me by damage alone in the first. Looking forward to another one.

When I fought him he kept on quitting saying there was lag , but it was cause I was killing him. I'm the stand up not even on the ground there was lag in 1 fight and he quit 6 times in 2 days. Then he wrote that crap saying my connection was shitty asking you guys to scrap the fight . What a sissy, maybe he should stick to Tetris. Lol!

I don't think he quit on me, but the last 2 days Nosmos and I restarted the match at least 12-14 times due to DCs.
